Bethpage Federal Credit Union has joined LI Green to help provide funding to homeowners for energy-saving equipment and home improvements at reduced cost and reduced financing rates.
As a partner with LI Green, Bethpage Federal Credit Union is offering all LI Green members exclusive financing opportunities.
- Introductory rate of 2.49% is fixed for the first 12 months. The introductory rate is available only for the first time home equity lines of credit on subject property. 3.99% is the regular APR that would apply if the introductory rate was not offered, for qualified borrowers.
- A minimum draw of 50% of the line up to $30,000, lower draw requirement at closing for LI Green product only
- Revolving credit line, with rates as low as Prime plus 0% for limits of up to 80% of appraised home value, less your mortgage
- Up to 80% of appraised home value, less your mortgage
- No application or closing costs on lines up to $500,000
- Choice of either interest-only payment or principal and interest payment
- Member must provide a LI Green energy efficiency proposal and invoice from contractor
- Loan disbursement check will be made payable to the member and contractor who is doing work on the home
- No fees, no closing costs, up to $250,000 (amounts above $250,001-$500,000 will have closing costs.)

The regular rate after the introductory period is prime or 3.99% APR, whichever is higher, currently 3.99% APR. To receive the best rate after the introductory period, an initial disbursement at closing ($30,000 for loans up to $250,000, $40,000 for loans over $250,000) and a minimum outstanding balance of $25,000 for 12 months from date of closing required. To avoid closing costs (estimated at $378 - $6,413) HELOCs of $250,001 to $500,000 must take minimum draw of $40,000 at closing. When the loan is not repaid through our electronic preferred payment program, the 12-month Introductory APR is 2.74%. Introductory rate does not apply to existing Bethpage home equity refinances. There is a $500 application fee to refinance an existing Bethpage home equity to receive the introductory rate. tConsult your tax advisor about the deductibility of interest.
