Community Scholarship Programs
	At Bethpage Federal Credit Union we believe that lifelong learning is an integral part of success The Heart of Bethpage is proud to support education on Long Island through a variety of scholarship opportunities. To learn about the different scholarships that we fund and how you can apply please read the descriptions below.
	The Bethpage Federal Credit Union Foundation Scholarship Each year Bethpage awards ten scholarships for $1,000 each to graduating high school seniors who are attending an accredited college or university in the fall. Applicants must have an affiliation with Bethpage Federal Credit Union at the time of application, and should have a minimum overall average of 85% (3.0 GPA). The scholarship deadline is Friday, May 14, 2010. 	The Credit Union Association of New York (CUANY) Scholarship Bethpage Federal Credit Union is offering college-bound high school seniors the opportunity to compete for statewide college scholarships. Scholarships will be awarded in the amounts $1,000 and $500 and may be used at a two- or four-year accredited educational institution. In early spring, applications will be judged against other submissions statewide. Winners will be announced by the end of April 2010. 	Adelphi Endowed Scholarship In addition to these two scholarships above, Bethpage Federal Credit Union offers a Endowed Scholarship at the Adelphi University for Long Island Students in need entering a Freshman Class at Adelphi University. Established in June 2004, the Bethpage Federal Credit Union Scholarship has been providing financial assistance to Long Islanders who enroll as freshman at Adelphi University, located in Garden City, New York. This scholarship is open to all entering freshman who demonstrate financial need. Preference is given to students who reside in Hempstead, Roosevelt, Bay Shore, Central Islip and Brentwood.
